Excited young Nigerian man shares his new look after waving a goodbye to drug addiction…

The rising cases of drug abuse in the country has in recent times reached such a disturbing and alarming stage, hence the increased efforts of government through its relevant agencies to crack down on such ugly menace.

This young man whose identity we couldn’t ascertain at the time of posting this content, shared a video of his old and new look, after overcoming drug addiction, precisely crystal methamphetamine, otherwise known as ice or mkpulu mmiri.

In his old look, he was so lean and look pale, as though he has blood shortage. Whereas in the new look, the young man was everything to admire as he look so plumpy, fresh, fat and healthy.

“I stopped smoking ice and focused on food,” he captioned the video.

The truth is that, hard drugs takes a lot from your body, hence why drug addicts always look dirty and hungry. Yes, hard drugs drains you, you will always have blood shortage, eats up your flesh, and often leaving dehydrated always. Also, it has adverse effects on your brain and on mental health; it has no advantage to your life whatsoever.

Well, while many people have continued to react to the post, expressing joy and happiness over his new lifestyle, sone others still questioned the look of his eyes, alleging that he might have switched to a less stronger version of drug, like loud.

For instance, a certain Ikenna Emenike wrote, “You stopped Ice and continued with loud…bad guy!!”

And in reaction to the comment above, a Facebook user @ Vyqui Loke wrote, “I was going to say that oo. Cause those eyes be like who don high”.

On the other hand, some of the most commonly abused drugs in the country include Indian hemp, cannabis, Tramadol, Codeine Syrup, Rephnol, Ice methamphetamine (mkpulu mmiri), Diazepam, Khat, Ehpdrime, Cocaine, Heroine, etc.

Meanwhile, according to a report in 2023, as disclosed by the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, about 14.3 million Nigerians abuse different hard drugs, and those involved range between age 15-60.

Unfortunately, drug abuse is most common amongst the youths who are mostly unemployed or not engaged in any meaningful business. Yet, they have continued to raise money from only God knows where, to fund their daily drug lifestyle.
