The unfortunate death of popular Nollywood actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo is still being felt across the country, with Millions of people still mourning him and also grieving over his death.
In the face of all these, there’s one thing I have actually noticed one important thing, which is the fact that many people, especially Nollywood people are not celebrating the young actor who survived the boat accident, in the person of TC Okafor, popularly known as TC Virus.
But look how thousands of photos of those who died in the incident, especially Junior Pope have continually flooded social media platforms and other spaces on the internet. Rather, the surviving actor has been subjected to all manner of attacks, blames and otherwise. I have even seen several comments questioning why he wasn’t the person who died instead of Junior Pope. God!
It is just so bad how we have actually lost it totally, that we now prefer celebrating bad news more than good news, or any other thing that stands opposite or adjacent to bad news. And it is even worse with bloggers, who have become so obsessed with negative news and traffic, as such, they hardly give attention to good news as it doesn’t drive good traffic to their platform. God help us!
Even among his colleagues in Nollywood, there are just a hand full of them that have shown real concern over the miraculous survival of this young man. But should it be that he was among the dead, I bet you, about 90% of his colleagues would have made thousands of posts about him.
That’s why you see them rarely post about their ailing members, nor should genuine concern. But once the person dies, you see them posting and writing all sorts of epistles about the dead. I don’t just know if they are most interested in the death of their members than them being alive? Yes, because I can’t possibly understand what’s all these.
Already you heard what the survivor revealed, how the producer of the movie, Adanma Luke Ozuligbo invited police to arrest him almost immediately he came out alive, claiming he caused the accident. Instead of trying to see if all is well with him, no, it is to arrest him that is her top priority. And that’s the life of most of them in that industry, no real love for each other, just hearts filled with hate and bitterness for each other.
