Doyin Okupe has continued to sing the praises of the current APC government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the high heaven.
This is coming at a time the hardship in the country is worsening daily, with prices of food items and other commodities dragging space with the heavenly bodies. This is coming barely a year after working with Peter Obi’s Labour Party to defeat Tinubu during the 2023 Presidential election.
Dele Momodu reminded Doyin Okupe about his new career of defending every regime since after his time as spokesman to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and asked what Nigerians have gained since then. On the other hand, he reminded Doyin that at their current age, the best thing they can offer the country is a good leadership.
While citing that with advisers like Doyin Okupe that it is hard for any government to perform better, he pledged to sing Tinubu’s praises should he cut down on the reckless expenditures of his government, ignite agricultural revolution, empower the youths and all that.
He equally talked about the irrelevant nature of misleading praises from the western world as all that won’t change the economic reality on ground in the country. Then cited the case of Kenyan President William Ruto who was given a heroic welcome at the White House about two months ago, but look at what he’s currently facing in his country, where the real economic situation is felt and not on the lips of the western world.

Since Tinubu’s victory following the 2023 Presidential election, surprisingly, well known opposition members like Reno Omokri (of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP) and Doyin Okupe (of the Labour Party, LP) have willingly assumed the position of the spokesperson of the current government.
While Reno Omokri has his office circled around everything about Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, attacking him left, right and center, while that of Doyin Okupe is to lavish praises on almost every action and economic adventures of the regime.
Well, only these people and their God knows what actually visited them at night that turned them into something strange at dawn!
