Mbappe has seemingly exhausted his time at Paris Saint-Germaine, PSG and his sight should be set on a better future elsewhere…

Then is this what Mbappe will continue to endure while his active playing time continue to dwindle everyday? Look at Erling Halaand, see how much he has already achieved in about two seasons now, just for making the right decision for his career.

Without mincing words, after this nights champions league game between PSG and Borussia Dortmund, I have actually come to the conclusion that if Mbappe still wanna be rated high in the football world, then he has no further business with the French champions.

Frankly, where I seated and watching this game with friends and other football lovers in Enugu, I was practically overwhelmed with anger, such that if I hadn’t been in firm control of myself, I would have actually got into a serious fight with some others around there.

PSG were everything you would never wish to have in your football circle, honestly. You can imagine a team already on one goal deficit from the first leg of the UEFA champions league semi finals, and equally playing at home. But the way they carried themselves like a pregnant woman due for delivery. Even Dortmund who were already on one goal advantage and also playing at PSG home, were more serious and determined than Mbappe’s PSG.

No single sign of urgency in them, no seriousness, no determination, etc. They were just playing as though there’s nothing at stake. In fact, some of those in the viewing center wondered how PSG actually got to this stage of the tournament. Almost everything about their playing style was nothing to write home about, even passing the ball unnecessarily, like though they were actually on a mission of killing time with such tactics.

Then you talk of the number of chances they wasted in such a high profile game, that you hardly get to see such opportunities of scoring. Yes, I can admit that they were unlucky in some cases, as they hit the woodwork severally, but that won’t excuse the fact that they wasted good scoring chances.

Unfortunately for Mbappe, this has been his fate at the club for many years now, and nothing has improved ever since. A player of his grade should be vying for all available football awards and accolades every season, especially now that age is still on his side.

On a serious note, PSG play every season as though they are actually so comfortable just winning the French league every season. And that’s only possible because they haven’t had a strong competitor in recent years.

But let’s be honest here, I do not see him achieving much, close to what Halaand may have achieved, if he insist on remaining at Paris. The highest he may achieve there is qualifying for the champions league every season, at least for now, and then winning the French league one. Then ask yourself, is this what will make him emerge top or rate among the best?

You saw how Cristiano Ronaldo took the bold step back then, and moved to Real Madrid, in spite the fact that Manchester United was doing very well then. But the Portuguese has his mind set on a bigger picture for his career. So, it’s time for Mbappe to wave that difficult goodbye to PSG, he has actually done a lot of for them.

If Mbappe has made up his mind to continue ranking below Halaand and others at his level, then he can actually stay back in Paris. Else, its time for that big move.

Even though PSG has qualities players in their team, but majority of them have the mindset and mentality of an average player. With all these big players in their team, you can never compare their mentality and mindset to that of Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, etc.
