Big Brother Naija star and winner of the 6th edition of the Reality Show in 2021, Hazel Oyeze Onou, but popularly known as Whitemoney doesn’t need much introduction coz his name has continued to ring bell since 2021.
Well, the young man may have come far in his pursuits for a brighter tomorrow and the greener pastures, but frankly he seems to have continued to walk the wrong lane in recent times. His passion for music is one of his greatest undoings since winning the Big Brother Naija show in 2021.
He has practically invested heavily in his music career with little success to happily fall back to. The truth is clear already, that the Enugu state born star loves music with all his heart, but he hasn’t gotten it right since then.
While most of his songs have been trailed with harsh and discouraging criticism and backlashing, the young man seems determined to succeed at all cost. But for me, I think that’s not something wise to continue.
While you may have a hardened passion for something, it doesn’t in any way guarantee that you will either make a headway there or that you were made for it, and that’s the exact case with our Whitemoney.
Why not he invest all these money into setting up a world class music studio/label, sign up great and talented singers to the music label? In that way, he can as well continue testing his music talent while still remaining in the business through the artists under his label.
Yes, now he has been investing millions into his own music career without substantial returns in the end. Let’s not just pretend about it, we all know he isn’t making as much profits and success as much as he has invested in the career all these while.
While many people have urged him to go into restaurant business based on the fact that he’s reputed as a great Chef, especially going by his cooking prowess during his time as a the Big Brother Naija housemate.
But if actually he doesn’t have the interest and passion for such, then what I suggested above remains a valid point. Besides, he can even make a good actor or join the booming sector of skit making, and it won’t still stop him from doing music if he still chooses to.
But in the case were he focuses mostly on his music career, which obviously is not yielding the results he desires, then it will end up leaving big holes in his pocket.
Take a look at Don Jazzy for instance, it’s obvious he has a huge passion for music, but he is aware of his own weaknesses in that area. Which is why he never for once focused majorly on becoming a full time singer/musician, rather sets up a music label, recruits talented singers, while himself queues into some of their songs once in a while.
That’s a wise businessman. The truth is that, if he Don Jazzy had decided to become a full time singer, I bet you, he wouldn’t have made 10% Success of what he has achieved as of today. Does this stop him from singing? No! Even back then when Mo’hits was the real deal in town, he had been singing, but kept his focus on the business of the game that gives him the expected returns in the end.
In life, discover your strength and weaknesses, focus more on your strength while working to improve on your weak end. But if you chose to do the opposite, I bet you, you will continue to struggle for a long period of time and if care is not taken, you may end up being totally discouraged from everything as a result.
We love Whitemoney just like our other celebrities, we would want him to succeed in his endeavours, but he needs to re-strategize for great results to be achieved.
Have it in mind that no one is too big to become broke. Yes, number main cause of such is bad investment and lack of dynamism in one’s life/career. We have seen celebrities who were far richer than Whitemoney go broke in the past, all as a result of same thing we are discussing here.
