French International and 2023 World Cup finalist, Kylian Mbappe has continued to be in the football transfer news in recent years, and has intensified since he finally revealed that he’s ready to quit his current club and French Ligue-1 Champions, Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, at the end of the season.
While he has since been heavily linked with Spanish giant, Real Madrid, Mbappe has equally been linked with several other high profile clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal. Though, while it is unlikely for him to end up at any of the aforementioned clubs, many Arsenal fans have continued to day dream and push for their club to sign him. In fact, it has often resulted in serious banters between Arsenal fans and fans of other clubs, with majority of the latter openly expressing the impossibility of Mbappe leaving PSG only to end up at Arsenal.
Meanwhile, it is not as though as Arsenal FC is not that big to have a high profile player like Mbappe, but the odds doesn’t favour such fatal imagination and desires. Yes, even though Mbappe hasn’t said such officially, but the young man is not just leaving PSG for a joke, but he has a target set to achieve that prompted his decision to quit the club, of which I do not see him doing that at Arsenal.
First, Mbappe is not happy how Erling Halaand has been rated ahead of him in recent years, to the extent that Mbappe nearly won the last edition of the Balloon d’Or award. All were because of the club Halaand is playing at, and the trophies he won as well, including the revered Champions League trophy, which has eluded PSG and Mbappe all these years.
Now ask yourself, can he really achieve this two things at Arsenal? You already know the answer. So, I do not see any reason why Mbappe would ever leave PSG only to end up at Arsenal. On the other, what he’s being paid at PSG, Arsenal can hardly afford to pay him that amount. So, what’s the essence of him leaving PSG to go to Arsenal FC?
