The world was literally held spellbind following the manner in which veteran Nollywood actor, Chief Chiwetalu Agu celebrated his wife of many years on her birthday.

The video of the said celebration went viral across various media platforms, and people can’t just stop talking about the couple with glaring great admiration.

But beyond the beauty of the romantic attributes displayed by the couple, especially the veteran actor, we have lots of lessons to capture from it.

This is exactly what is lacking in most marriages, and hence the increasing sour relationship we have witnessed in many marriages today. There’s this lack of cohesion, appreciation, friendliness, pure love, happiness and peace in most marriages.

We all saw how the actor, with utmost sincerity and genuine intent, lavished heart melting words on his wife, Nkechi Agu. Which is the hallmark of any relationship, and equally reveals the secret of the joy, peace and happiness the couple has enjoyed in that marriage for decades.

Regardless of his social and economic status, the actor still understands and recognizes the importance of his beautiful wife in his life. He openly appreciated his wife for how she has helped him become what he’s today. Made it clear that without her, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

How many men in his position possesses such attributes? Many men, once small money or fame comes their way, then they start treating their partner as a strange and inconsequential entity. That’s when they remember that she’s not the best woman for his life, and as such, they start maltreating her and frustrating her life.

From one joint to another, they have different mistresses, whom they lavish all their money on, while their wife is at home wallowing in grief, pains and regrets.

Let me tell you, most men are poor and broke today not because God destined them to be so, but because of the lifestyle they choose to live and as such, wasted all the blessings and grace that came their way.

There was this Imo guy in my area, he used to be a truck driver for Nigerian Brewery (NBL). Dude was balling hard, coz he makes a lot of money, and that was how he changes women like clothes. It is not the woman you see in his house in the morning that you will see in the night.

Meanwhile, he left his wife and two children in the village, suffering like their father wasn’t alive.

At the long run, he lost the job, no savings, no new job. He became broke, and immediately became a shadow of himself. That was when he decided to bring his wife and children to live with him in Enugu, when everywhere is red for him.

Though due to the hardship, the wife and children later went back to the village. While the man who couldn’t bear the hardship was forced into crime, and joined some criminals who rob travellers. He was eventually killed about two years ago, and that was how he ended his journey on earth.

Meanwhile, this was a young man who God blessed his hustle, making lot of money. But his priority was anchored on women; that he must taste everything on skirt.

It is sad that most men have failed to understand that there’s no trophy or award attached to womanizing. Rather, you are killing yourself, destroying yourself without knowing it.

As a man, treat your wife like a queen and I bet you, you will never regret it. You will live a happy life, you will never walk this life alone nor die young. Stop listening to deceivers, show her true love, pamper her, care for her, value her and your days on earth will be long, filled with joy, peace of mind and happiness.
