Just the mention of the potential arrival of Kylian Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu instantly spelt doom for other clubs, they feared their doomsday was finally here with Mbappe joining the already star studded Real Madrid.
But is that a reality at the moment? Was Mbappe needed in that team? Frankly not!
Madrid seems to have become a shadow of them self. They practically struggle in every game, even the weakest of teams can now look Madrid in the face and say, “we are not scared of you coz you can’t do us anything”. And these teams will still go ahead to walk their braggish talks.
Go watch the Real Madrid that won both the Laliga and Champions League last season, and watch the same Real Madrid of this season, and you would believe that Mbappe was never needed in that team for any reason. I would have preferred they retained Joselu than signing Mbappe.
Mbappe has disrupted the balance of this Real Madrid team. He wasn’t needed in that team, and Real Madrid now look like every average football team out there. I guess Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez was more interesting in selling shirts and merchandise, rather winning games on the turf. Mbappe wasn’t needed.
Already, Real Madrid has Brahim and Diaz Arda Gular in the team, and with the potential arrival of Endrick, then why the signing of Mbappe? What has his presence in the team contributed? His passes, dribbles, runs, etc, are all faulty, with lots of mistakes and interruptions in the team.
In as much as some of you won’t agree to this, but those who understands this game well enough knows the truth. Even, look at his pattern of play, it is actually disrupting the usual Madrid style of play; the flow, the speed and movement is not the same again.
