We all know how important wedding ceremony is to many people in this part of the world, especially the women. The importance attached to wedding here would make you think that once you are able to have your own wedding ceremony, then your marriage will immediately become heaven on earth.
Well, that is very far from the truth, which is what many people have actually failed to understand, that there are a lot of important factors that makes a marriage work than all the time, resources and hope placed on having the most lavished wedding ceremony. And Reverend Fr. Oselumhense Anetor, popular with with the name Fada Kay Media is reiterating once again.
“After dancing like crazy on your wedding day, you can’t live together as man and wife. Moral lesson, wedding isn’t marriage,” he wrote via his personal Facebook page.
Do you know that many people here go the extra mile just to have a wedding ceremony that is talk of town, yet end up in a very sad and crisis ridden homes? Funny enough, I have witnessed a lot of marriages packing up shortly after a very lavishing wedding ceremonies, even while the couples are still paying for the debt incurred during their wedding.
Not as though wedding is not an important aspect of marriage, but it is not what will make your marriage work or last. Even if have all the billionaires or men of God attend your wedding, it has little or no significance to the success of that Marriage. It is the personal input of the couples that will determine the outcome of the marriage.
In as much as I do not wish to start mentioning names of marriages that fall under this category, but it would have been very important we do so. Even, the wealth in a marriage doesn’t even guarantee that a marriage will work or last, it will forever be the input of both partners in their marriage that will make it work.
Lastly, stage whatever class of wedding ceremony you so desire, but while doing so, equally have it at the back of your mind that, it is not what will make you enjoy that marriage.
It is just like traveling abroad, whether you travel to Europe or Asia, or that you boarded first class, economy class, business class, etc, none will directly guarantee that you will make it abroad, but your effort, hardwork, determination, etc, is what will determine how successful you become in the end.
