A young Nigerian female graduate of University of Benin, UNIBEN, has met her untimely death in the hand of young man, for no justifiable reasons.

The young girl identified as Miss Glory Adeko had just graduated from the Chemistry department of the university of Benin, and was actually undergoing her final clearance at the school, as she prepares for her mandatory one year National Youth Service Corps, NYSC.

She was on her way back from school around 6:30pm on 13th of June 2024, when her killer attacked her at a lonely road in Iyowa community, near Olukoyo Benin City, dragged her into the bush and strangled her to death.

Her mobile phone, money and other valuables were equally collected from her by her killer. It was some members of the community who discovered her corpse and subsequently alerted the police.

Prior to his arrest, the suspect Happy Godwin who hailed from Akwa-Ibom State had reportedly disappeared to Ibuzo in Asaba in attempt to avade arrest.

Meanwhile, no part of the body of the deceased is said to be missing, which has left many people wondering why the suspect decided to take her away. On the other hand, the suspect confessed to have murderred a total of four girls in the same manner.

Reacting to the story, a certain social media user identified as Lisa Dike wrote, “rest in peace kid sis I’m so glad that your killer was found and I pray God gives mummy the strength to bear your departure”.

“What is ur gain for killing, what a wicked world we live in…RIP YOUNG SOUL,” Gifted Johnson lamented.
