You may have come across many tales about love, in different varieties, such that you could have considered as the most weird of it all, but I bet you, you may have not come across what you are about to read in this article, such that must blow your mind and make you realign your beliefs and thoughts about love.
LoVe there say is one of the most beautiful gift to mankind from our creator, but I doubt if Vera and Martins will ever subscribe to that school of thought, lol.
Yes, it all started between this young man named Martins, who once lived in Enugu State, though originally from the South South part of the country. He had a girlfriend/fiancee named Vera from Imo state. They dated for several years, does almost everything together, the entire hood and most outdoor joints in the state had come to know them very well.
Even while they have not officially married, some people were often referring to them as couple of the year, couple of the century, best couple in town, and all that. In all of these, they had already started anticipating their marriage together. It was all looking so beautiful and perfect, not until the devil came back from its sojourn abroad, and planted the evil seed.
It all began when Vera met a certain guy named Jerry, who recently returned from Brazil, was practically the hottest in town. He managed to find his way into Vera’s life, and since then, things never remained the same ever again. Jerry lavished her with everything money could buy, including a car gift, which Vera lied to Martins that she got the car gift from her uncle who’s a politician. Though he had his doubts, but had no option left than to believe her.
Well, Jerry talked marriage with her, of which she obliged. In all of these, Martins was kept in the dark, coz she played it too smart. Meanwhile, there’s a big obstacle somewhere; Vera and Martins were on blood oath, never to leave each other. Eventually, she came up with a dirty idea on how to perfectly dump Martins without any physical or spiritual consequences. She conspired with a medical personnel who has one of the biggest hospital and laboratories in town, to come up with an adulterated medical and lab report.
That she has kidney problem, and went to Martins with the report. It was one of the saddest experience for the young man. He wept and wept, and later suggested that they should go for another test, which Vera turned down, smartly brainwashing him into believing all she said, including that she wouldn’t want to be a burden to his life, as such that she want them to undo the blood oath, so that even if she eventually dies that it won’t be an issue for him, or even if he wants to move on with his life as well coz of the kidney problem that he should be free to do so. Though it wasn’t easy for him to accept, but they eventually undid the oath.
From one story and matter to another, they eventually separated, and it was all joy and celebration for her, as she has straightened her path to have Jerry without interference from anyone, not even from Martins. Meanwhile, Jerry had equally promised to bring her over to Brazil to come and be managing his restaurant over there, while he concebtrates on his other businesses.
Jerry had returned late November, claiming that he returned that early to enable him finalize his marriage with the woman of his choice, before going back, of which he will know it’s now left for him to bring her over that is left of him. It was all going so well as Vera had wished for, including introducing Jerry to a couple of her friends, family members. They had planned that immediately after new year celebration, they will go see Vera’s people, for everything about their marriage, down to traditional marriage, to be fixed.
Christmas and New Year came and went, and Jerry told her he was going to the village to check his building project, to be back in two days time. Two days turned into a week, turned into two weeks, etc, and not even his contact can be reached. She was practically mad and life turning into hell overnight for her. Unfortunately, she don’t even know his village nor have contacts of his family members.
Eventuall, she saw on a post on his Facebook page while inside a flight, obviously heading back to Brazil. She nearly had a heart attack over that, and that was how she sent countless DM and not even a single response from him, and to make it worse, he eventually blocked her. She really went through hell while on earth!
She later went back to meet Martins, sadly, he has left the place he used to stay while they dated. He too had gotten intel about Vera’s escapades with Jerry as he monitored her life after they separated. He was really sure what happened, so he suspected foul play. He eventually found out what was actually going on, as such, he moved on, and completely out of reach of Vera.
She eventually got to know that Martins not only moved on but has proposed to one decent lady in their neighborhood who used to do sales girl job at one electronic shop along stadium road. She was thorn apart, Vera wept for a very long time, considered suicide on several occasions. It was indeed a living hell for her for a very long time afterwards.
