Some times when we see some of our favourite celebrities, especially in the movie industry, we may not know how far these persons have actually been around in the industry before hitting stardom.

Frankly, most of them have truly gone through rough and tough paths in the course of what you see them enjoying today; fame and fortune. Well, enjoy their story and journey to fame below…

DESTINY ETIKO: She’s one of the most sort after actresses in the industry and without mincing words, she’s such a bundle of talent.

The Enugu state born actress has actually been around for many years, started as child actor of which many of her fans are not actually aware of. But today, Destiny Etiko is a household name, who has acted in dozens of Nollywood movies.

REGINA DANIELS: The wife of Billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has been in the industry for over a decade. She started as a child actor, who was being brought to movie sets/locations by her ever supportive mother, Rita Daniels.

She featured in a couple of movies as a child actor back then, including “King Solomon Code” starring along late Muna Obiekwe, Yul Edochie, Mike Ezuruonye , Onny Michael, Baba Rex, Nkechi Nweje, and others.

SAM DEDE: Rated one of the best in the industry, Sam Dede has been around for decades. Precisely, he joined the industry in 1995, and rose to prominence for his role in the Nollywood evergreen blockbuster “Ijele”. His role in Issakaba was yet another movie which cemented his name in the industry till date.

His impeccable use of the English language is one quality that has stood him out amongst his equals.

UJU OKOLI: She has been in the movie for many years, through the influence of her father, Obi Okoli, who is a veteran Nollywood actor and movie director. She made her debut in 2005 in the movie “No More War” which coincidentally was directed by her father, Obi Okoli.

But her breakthrough movie was “Echoes Of Love” were she played the character of Adaeze. Since then, she has remained one of the biggest names in the Nigeria movie industry, otherwise known as Nollywood, featuring in dozens of movies.

She has a biological brother in the industry identified as Tony White, who’s equally an actor.

ONNY MICHAEL: The Abor in Enugu state born actor has been in the industry for many years, featuring in dozens of movies, including playing a minor role of less than five scenes in the movie “Akidi”.

The fame he’s enjoying today is a result of years of hard work, determination and consistency. At a time, the young man had to travel out to South Africa, when it seems to him that acting wasn’t his thing.

Though he came back, and since then, he has actually done so well for himself, including owning a mansion in Asaba and equally happily married with kids.

MARY NJOKU: The highly successful actress, producer and filmmaker didn’t stumble on her fame and fortune on a plater of gold as she has been in the industry for decades.

Surprisingly, she joined Nollywood at the age of 17, and that was way back in 2003. Then in 2004 she made her debut in the movie titled “Home Sickness” but her breakthrough came after featuring in the 2011 Nollywood blockbuster movie titled “Black Berry Babes”.

She has gone ahead to feature in countless movies for the industry, and has achieved a lot for herself, including launching of ROK TV around 2016.

MARY IGWE: The Delta State born actress is another person who has been in the movie industry for a long time, came through the ranks. Today, she’s such a big name in the movie industry, though many people are getting to know her at a her she became famous, but she has been around for years.

She has been around since early 2000, and taking up roles towards hitting stardom which eventually came. Her movie “A Trip To Dubai” equally gave her career a big push in the industry, and today, the story is different.

LIZZY GOLD ONUWAJE: The Warri South born actress is one fans most favorites actors in Nollywood in recent times. She reportedly came into Nollywood in 2012, and since then has worked so hard to be where she’s today.

In her quest for fame she started early in life to chase her dreams. In 2006, she participated in the Miss Delta State beauty pageantry which she eventually won, and became a runner-up in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, MBGN, pageantry as well.

Some of her movies include Mark Of Royalty, Dangerous Women, Agaracha The Lioness, My Sister’s Betrayal, Marriage Competition, Fight For Love, Tiger Prince, Save The Princess and many others.
