Davido is no doubt one of the biggest name in the African music industry, and in the same manner one of the richest as well, as such, he has developed a trademark of being one of the biggest spenders in the industry equally.
Like many Nigerians will say, he has a lot of doings, and same he recently repeated with his alleged acquisition of a Land in Lagos State, reported with about four billion Naira. The story was broken by one his ally and popular Instagram blogger, Tunde Ednut. He shared a video from the moment Davido and his team went on site seeing of the property located in the expensive Eko Atlantic city.
The post which was aimed at hyping the spending prowess and power of the “E Pain Me” crooner, while equally emphasizing that the said amount is just for the empty land, as the cost of building any structure there is not included. He equally alleged that Davido will make use of the land to build a family mansion just for himself, his wife Chioma and their kids.
And in the same manner, the post has expected triggered mixed reactions among people, mostly Nigerians, of which some are of the opinion that Davido do not have such amount of money.
According to one of such comments from one Instagram user @maestroandre341 wrote, “Dis one na lie…4 billion for land?”
Another comment from @rotimi_212 alleged that Davido was only indirectly advertising the as he was paid to do so. In his exact words, “Davido does not have 4billion. It’s publicity stunt. He was paid to advertise Eko Atlantic. Nigerians need to start learning the truth”.
Meanwhile, the comment section has practically turned into a battle ground between fans of Davido and Wizkid, as the Wizkid’s fans are of the argument that Davido is trying so hard to meet up with Wizkid’s doings. Their argument is anchored on the fact that each time Wizkid splashes huge amount of money on something then Davido’s camp will become restless and doing everything possible to do something similar.
For instance , they alleged that it was for the fact that Wizkid recently acquired a Ferrari for over a billion Naira, that was the reason Davido has now gone to purchase a Land of that amount. And just like the fans rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, this equally will take almost forever to end.
