The truth remains that many people, if not all, were really shocked to see the unexpected repentance being put forward by controversial Nollywood actress and businesswoman, in the person of Sarah Martins, on the ground that she no longer in support of her friend’s marriage with Yul Edochie.
Meanwhile, that singular action has expectedly sparked widespread mixed reactions, originally triggered by her recent encounter with Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, at the airport, were she publicly apologized to her for originally throwing her weight behind the marriage of Judy Austin and Yul Edochie, against the wish of his first wife, May.
In the aftermath of the above, it has remained hellish for both camps, with Judy and her husband, Yul, unleashing their venoms on Sarah for betraying their friendship and loyalty.
And most recently, she reported that the couple has blocked her on their social media platforms, and being a stubborn and controversial personality, she too has continued to hit out at the couple, including a recent video posted on her Instagram, calling out her erstwhile bestie, Judy, to refund the one million Naira (#1,000,000) she alleged to have lended her. And several other jabs thrown at the couple who she recently used to be in their good books.
In another post few hours ago, she wrote, “Ijele is seriously watching with a fake account 🤣🤣🤣,” and she added, “1m na burger money to me but you go pay am hanty (aunty)”.
Now, while many people have openly hailed Sarah for recollecting herself on time and retraced her steps, while some others tagged her “traitor” who can’t really be trusted as a friend. Well, I do not think Sarah has really betrayed anyone in this context, not even Judy, yes because the fact that somebody decides to repent of her bad old ways cannot and will never amount to being an act of betrayal as being peddled by some people.
First of all, has Sarah publicly leaked any of her (Judy) secrets? The answer is no! Where then is the act of betrayal for now? She only distanced herself from what Judy and Yul have done to the once enviable and beautiful marriage of Yul and May. Besides, many people pointed to the fact that in spite all the bullets Sarah her been taking for the sake of Judy, even when the matter doesn’t directly concern or involve her. Meanwhile, Judy has hardly been seen coming through for Sarah at such times.
In fact, many people raised vital issues and observations experienced in the then friendship between Judy and Sarah Martins, that the former always carry herself like she’s far superior to Sarah, as though she’s a superstar to her (Sarah). But frankly, people can really be eagle eyed on certain issues, because personally I have not thought about this issue raised here while the duo were still together. Wow!
On the other hand, some others have equally claimed that the current social media drama/war between the duo is actually scripted, just to grow their followers on social media. But if you ask me, I do not see this as such, because you do not expect Rita Edochie to descend so low, because she’s equally a cast in the movie. Don’t forget that she has been at loggerhead with Judy Austin for marrying Yul as his second wife, prompting May to leave the marriage.
Probably many people don’t really know/understand the level of attacks and backlashes Sarah has been subjected all these while, just for her loyalty to the couple, which is more than enough to make her realign where her tent is pitched.
