And we shall take a look at the marriage of highly successful American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actor, James Todd Smith, professionally known as L.L Cool J.
Quite before the age of 20, the young man was already making millions of dollars from his musical career and talent, yet his early exposure to fame and fortune wasn’t the determining factor on the kind of life he choose to live afterwards. It was during the early stage of his music career that he meet Simone Smith, his girlfriend who eventually became his one and only wife.
Both met as teenagers and that was in the year 1987, and they got married in 1995, in New York city, while the rapper was still living with his mother. Meanwhile, this was the period LL Cool J was building his career, and she was fully involved as well, and have remained one of the most admired and iconic couples around the world.
Blessed with four lovely children (Najee, Italia, Samaria and Nina) and two grandchildren, the couple has been happily married for nearly three decades, precisely for 29 years. Surprisingly, in spite the huge global fame, and the wealth surrounding the rapper and his marriage as well, they have lived happily and peacefully since then, with practically no scandal to have ever rocked their beautiful marriage since then.
The rapper who is currently 57 year old, has consistently supported his 52 Year-Old wife, through the ups and downs, and even during the launching of her business brand, a jewelry brand.
Even with his huge and lofty global status, including as one of the highest paid Hollywood actors, LL Cool J has been a cool headed celebrity, husband and father, and for once has never been negatively influenced by all these achievements. He has always valued, treasured and respected his beautiful family, and such is really worthy of emulating and celebrating.
So, for those giving excuses for their bad behavior in marriage as a result of either their fame or fortune, always remind them that LL Cool J has all of these in abundance, and still remained himself.
