Veteran Nigerian singer, Terry G, otherwise known as the Akpako Master is facing series of backlashes from Nigerians as he cried out over the money he’s being owed by the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, after helping them win the last Presidential election which brought President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into power.

According to him, he had composed campaign songs for the party and equally performed at several of their political campaigns across the country, to the extent that he nearly lost his waist as a result of the extent of stress he was subjected during the said campaign. In the now viral video, he begged APC to release his money to him before he will start calling out names of the APC members holding his money.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians have on the other hand dragged the singer, accusing him of abandoning his people at a time he was needed the most, by going to campaign for the said party. They equally accused him of choosing money over the people, and as such, that he should face his problem alone, or rather, he go to court as the party he supported told the opposition political parties.

Some even went as far as taunted him for campaigning for the ruling party on credit. For instance, one Twitter User @lagos_fineboy wrote, “baba campaigned on credit”.

“So una sell our country on credit ok nah we,” @NancyUbani3.

“Hunger and greed are two deadly decease,” @okornericsweet.
