Sophia Momodu has finally replied Davido’s lawsuit seeking the joint custody of their daughter, Imade Aurora Adeleke, and it is not a good news for the DMW boss.
Though it is still subject to a legal tussle between Davido and Sophia, but her response shows she’s not willing to accept joint custody of her daughter with her celebrity dad.
Recall that on April 17, 2024, the singer initiated the suit through his legal counsel, with suit number LD/1587PMC/2024, with their innocent daughter Imade Adeleke at the center of it all.
The singer seeks to have unrestricted access to his daughter, aiming to play an active role in the upbringing of his daughter’s life. Of which his estranged lover is not willing to give in to.
Meanwhile, Sophia Momodu on her part filed a counter response to Davido’s prayers before the court of law, about 102 paragraphs counter affidavit through her legal counsel ably led by Dr Anthony Idigbe (SAN) of Punuka Attorneys and Dr Bimpe Ajegbomogun.

Davido in his suit, admitted the fact that his relationship with Sophia Momodu (his daughter’s mother) has gone south several years ago. But made it clear that he has been a responsible father to his daughter, including providing financially and otherwise for her.
On the other hand, Davido revealed how Sophia had imposed a levy of $800 monthly wage for a nanny she hired to look after Imade. The amount in a year is about $19,600, of which Davido considered excessive and outrageous.
He also alleged being badly treated by the Momodu despite all he does for Imade’s upkeep and wellbeing. According to him, the Momodu has constantly treated him with lots of cruelty, which has caused him serious emotional pains.

While Davido and Sophia welcomed Imade on May 14, 2024, being their first child, jointly and separately as well. On Tuesday June 25, 2024, Davido finally married his long time lover and mother of his kids, Chioma Adeleke, in one of the most lavished wedding ceremonies to ever been held in Nigeria and beyond.
