It is not surprising to see where two people with the same name are involved in one drama or the other, especially over claims to certain things, mostly lucrative and treasurable bargains. Sometimes such situations presents itself in such an embarrassing manner, such that may end up ridiculing either the name of both people bearing same name or one of the duo.
Unfortunately, that was the tales of two Nollywood Legends, in the persons of Prince Emeka Ani, of which one is a popular Nollywood actor and the other is seasoned Nollywood movie director and Producer. Meanwhile, we cannot take away the fact that the two Nollywood legends have undoubtedly made great impacts in the Nigeria movie industry, and it is sad to hear about this sort of ugly story involving them.
This was in 2021, when Prince Emeka Ani (Mr. Creative) being the movie director, took to his social media platform to accuse his name sake who’s an actor, of illegally laying claims to his works (movies) and equally using them to pursue business contracts. This was simply because of the similarities in their names, the movies at the center of the drama are One on One, Last Warning and School Dropout.
According to the movie director, he made it clear that he’s not bothered by the fact that the two of them lay claims to same name in the industry, but the fact that the other person is capitalizing on that to eat the fruit of his labours is what he would not tolerate.
While revealing that the actor had collected money from different avenues with his movies, including from an unnamed company in Minna, Niger State. He said he had previously warned the actor to desist from such dubious practices, but that the actor remained obstinate. The movie director made it clear that he was only restrained by the fact that the actor was down with serious health challenges at that time. And also for the sake of peace, else that he would have taken up the matter.

Meanwhile, this should be about three years now, but neither has the Nollywood actor responded to the allegations, nor have we heard any further talk on that matter from the movie director.
