As the world eagerly wait for the much anticipated wedding ceremony of Davido and his beautiful wife, Chioma Rowland Adeleke A.K.A Chef Chi, we have continued to witness lots of divergent conversation about the couple.
Since their relationship got serious and eventually leading into marriage and the coming of kids, a lot of people especially women, have continued to pressure Chioma to quit the music star, citing series of flimsy excuses and reasons; that Davido cheats on her, that Davido disrespects her by involving himself with other women, etc.
They suddenly turned into marriage and relationship expert and counselor, yet these are women who have not been able to sort out theirs. They just hide under the cloak of fighting and caring for Chioma, where as deep inside their hearts they are not happy that it is Chioma who is in that position.
They do not genuinely wish Chioma any well, it is just pretence disguised to pressure the young woman into abandoning her marriage with Davido, and end up frustrated and miserable like themselves.
My happiness in all these is that Chioma is such an intentional woman, who knows exactly what she wants and equally intentionally going about it. She has refused to be influenced by all these negative talks about her husband and marriage, and remained extremely focused on her target.
While we have actually seen a couple of erring behavior from Davido, but he has continued to work on himself to be a better husband and father. You are seeing a young man who genuinely loves his wife, doing all within his capacity to make her a happy woman, yet all you are after is seeing the end of their union.
Funny enough, most of these women have continued to take worse shits in their various relationships and marriages, but these are people who are quick to tell others to quit at any slightest problem in their own. Low key they are are wishing it was them who is in Chioma’s position.
Look at the popular “Bitter Feminist” identified as Nkechi Bianze, who used to urge women not to tolerate any sort of shit from any man. She was busy teaching women to be almost a “Devil” in the lives of their men. But it is same person who is now working so hard to protect her marriage, even pledging absolute loyalty and obedience to her husband.
All these people are just looking for what to use and be gossiping up and down. But unfortunately Chioma has continued to disappoint them, because she truly knows her worth, her intentions are not influenced by the advice of those who have no intention of having a decent and successful marriage.
Davido has never treated his wife in a manner that depicts her being less than a human. He has always loved and cherished Chioma, then you begin to wonder why all these uncertified Marriage and Relationship counsellors are drinking Panadol for a headache that is not theirs.
