Reno Omokri has taken a dig at the famous Arise News following the recent appreciation of the Nigerian currency, Naira, on the official foreign exchange market.
Meanwhile, this is actually coming at a period were the Naira was on a steady nosediving adventure, climbing as high as over 1000 Naira to just one dollar, there were some good news as the Naira came down to 950 Naira to a dollar. A news that was widely celebrated across the country.
Following that, Reno Omokri took to his social media platform to taunt Arise TV, alleging that the station is the only media outfit in the country that is not happy with the good news. He stated that all other news platforms like Channels TV, AIT, etc, were making the positive progress trailing the Naira as their major conversation, but that won’t be seen with Arise TV.
Part of his post reads, “every major network is reporting this as vigorously as they broadcast the crash. Except for Arise Peoples Party. Arose is not happy that the Naira is arising. I don’t get it. Is Arise News a media station or a propaganda outfit?”
Recall that Reno Omokri and one of the main anchor persons at the said Arise News, in the person of Rufai Oseni has continued to share frosty relationship in recent times, particularly over their personal views on certain national issues, prominent among them was the certificate scandal surrounding President Tinubu over his attendance of the Chicago State University, USA, and Rufai’s hard stand on certain economic policies of the APC government.
