Mbappe will be rewarded heavily, financially, for finally agreeing to sign for Real Madrid…
While French national team captain Kylian Mbappe may have had a childhood dream of playing for the Spanish giant, Real Madrid, on the other hand, Real Madrid have equally had a long time dream of having Mbappe play for the club- an age long dream of both the club President Florentino Perez and their fans!
After signing a five year contract with the Laliga champions, the financial benefits awaiting the former PSG playmaker has been revealed.
According to multiple sources, Kylian Mbappe will earn about €15 million annually at Real Madrid. This makes him the highest paid player at the club for the moment.
His salary supersedes even that of super stars in the club like Vinicius Jnr who earns €12 million annually, Jude Bellingham’s €11 million, David Alaba’s €12.5 million, Luka Modric’s €11.5 million, and others.
Also, he is said to equally receive between $100-$150 million as his signing-on fee after joining from PSG on a free transfer at the end of the 2023/2024 football season.
The 25 year old is said to be in control of his image rights as he will keep a large part of the deal. He already has some lucrative endorsement deals with global brands like Dior, EA Sports, Nike, Orange, and Hublot. And these deals are said to worth about €30 million annually, which is about double of his annual salary at Madrid.
Reports equally has it that he will keep all proceeds of deals he had signed before joining Real Madrid, while he will keep 80% of such earnings signed after joining Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, he took a huge pay cut just to join the Spanish giant. Yes, The Sun UK reported sometime in May 2023 that Mbappe was paid about £80 million annually at PSG.
