Prince Emeka Ani: Meet The Two Nollywood Greats Who Share The Same Name But Different Roles In The Industry!

You must have come across the name, Prince Emeka Ani if you are a fan of Nollywood movies, and I’m certainly sure the name must have caused a certain degree of confusion in your mind. Yes, because it is often rare to find such situation in the same field of career or human endeavours.

But fortunately enough, we are going to resolve that very age long mystery, and probably confusion surrounding both the name and personality of the two Nollywood Greats. Prince Emeka Ani has two distinct faces and roles in Nollywood, of which one is well known in the industry as a movie director and Producer, while the other is basically known as a veteran actor.

Prince Emeka Ani (Director/Producer):

Is a veteran Nollywood movie director, producer and scriptwriter, and has produced dozens of classic movies over the years. He is equally known as Mr. Creative, a name he earned from his great creative inputs in his movies, hence the name as a result.

He has been in the industry for decades, and it is not surprising that many people do not actually know much about him, owing to the fact that as a person who works behind the camera, it is not always that easy to gain much popularity outside the industry, hence why many people have naturally given his credit to his name who’s a known actor, whenever they come across the name Prince Emeka Ani in any Nollywood movies.

Meanwhile, some of his movies include The Chief Bride’s Maid, The Hidden Angel, Kill The Marriage, Last Warning, School Dropout, One on One, A Minute With The Devil, Not For Kids (My Wedding Day), Family Affair, and many others.

Prince Emeka Ani (Actor):

Is a highly talented and gifted Nollywood actor, with a dreaded trademark beard, which often perfectly fits into his roles and characters in movies. He’s one of the pioneering members of the Nigerian professional movie industry otherwise known as Nollywood.

He has a reputation of taking up roles such a chief priest, native doctors, occultic leader or member. Most interestingly is the way he gives breathe taking performances whenever he’s called to do so, such that you may begin to think that it is even his natural calling outside the movie industry. That goes to tell you how talented he is when it comes to acting.

Unfortunately, he has been down with sickness in the past few years, precisely stroke and some others. Sometime in 2021, the veteran actor took to the public to seek financial assistance to enable him take care of his health, during which he was supported with the sum of six million Naira by Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin, who is the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, CMDM, in Delta State.

Some of his movies include Generation of Vipers, Sometime in July, 666, ChukwuAbiama na Ezedibia, Warriors of Justice, and many others. Funny enough, some people have argued that one of them do not have “Prince” in his name, but that’s not true, both of them are known as “Prince Emeka Ani”. Surprisingly, both are titled men in Igboland as red cap “Chiefs”.
