Few hours ago, the social media and by large the internet was rattled by the unending drama trailing controversial Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola A.K.A Portable as he took out time to call out the United Kingdom embassy in Nigeria for denying his wife, Omobewaji Ewatomi, entry Visa. He equally called out popular show promoter, Bilique, for failing to submit his wife’s Visa application on time, according to their initial arrangements.

He went further by releasing the private conversation he had with Bilique, with the show promoter obviously angry with the way Portable is handling the entire travel arrangement, especially with his insisting that his wife must come with him to UK. With his first show coming up in less than 78 hours, precisely on Sunday November 26, and the Visa application re submitted, and response expected by next week Tuesday, he’s still insisting on coming with his wife whose Visa application is pending at the embassy.

According to the chat, Portable was supposed to have left the country last night as his flight ticket stipulates and the Show promoter equally revealed in the chat in question. Are you aware that his first is on Friday November 24? So you can truly understand the harm this young man is actually doing to his beautiful and enviable career.

At least for some of the finishing touches to have been concluded ahead of the main day, because all these early preparations helps to deliver a successful and fantastic concerts. The promoter who booked him earlier or few days ahead is not stupid to have picked that date, this is to avoid unforseen circumstances that might negatively affect the show. But those hailing and pushing Portable to do all these things won’t understand this.

Read up the chats Portable had with the Show promoter regards this matter of his wife following him to UK below…

This very issue has stirred up mixed reactions on social media, with majority heaping blames on Portable for being unprofessional and all that. Sadly, this is not the first time this dude is having fractured relationship with people in the industry, with the most recent being with Popular Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, over how much he was paid after a show he performed at.

Yes, the show reportedly fetched Charles about 40 million Naira, while Portable was said to have been paid 5 million Naira, and when he found out how much was made from the show, he started attacking all those involved including Charles Okocha who linked him up for the show. Just like many people stated, did you (Portable) sign any agreement with them on how much you will be paid should so so amount of money is realized from the show? Answer is no, why then are you ranting after you collected a whooping sum of five million Naira, with your accommodation and other stuffs paid on your behalf. Now, that business relationship he has literally killed it.

Now he’s here, trying to prove a point at the detriment of his career. So going to UK with your wife is more important to you than securing your career? Which is what puts food on your table and equally one of the main reasons why that your wife agreed to marry you in the first place because if you were a nobody I do not think she would have ever agreed to marry you.

So what will happen if Portable decides to honour the ticket already booked for him and his wife joining later, once her Visa application is granted? So what if eventually his wife’s Visa application is once again denied, it then means he won’t travel to UK for the show which he had already been paid for long before now?

Portable has a litany of such unnecessary controversies surrounding his life and career from day one, including falling out with almost everyone who saw him to the top, even Olamide, Pocco Lee and others, at a point, though he later apologized. But this is just his trademark character, and forget about those hyping and applauding him, they are only misleading the young man.

Let me tell you, if you think some of these unprofessional attitude doesn’t affect your career because you are a big name in the industry, my brother you are deceiving yourself. Yes, you might be earning what you feel is enough for you, but you don’t know that you could have earned far more than that because many others would have given you more jobs, but are afraid of recruiting you because of fear that you might come up with your trademark attitude as revealed to them from your history in the industry.

At a point, even those you feel that they can’t deny you jobs will begin to avoid you coz of your attitude, and by then you will begin to heap blames on village people, forgetting that the only village people attacking your life is your bad attitude towards business and your career. Can you count how many times and people Portable have clashed with, even within his own camp? You cannot count it because they are too many to count, and you all think all is well with him, and that he’s only protecting his interest?

Well, just like I said, you should stop deceiving and misleading this young man, tell him things that will help and sustain his career and not things that will be sweet to his ears. And for your information, do you know how many days this promoter booked Portable? Just look at it below…

So, is it such a business contact you should be joking with, no matter big your name is in the industry? Do you all know how much the show organizers must have paid Portable coz the show is running concurrently? My dear, in as much as we see some of these celebrities as untouchable and without a sin/fault, always consider others, because this person who has paid all these money to patronize your business is into his own business too. Do not always be selfish and seeking to satisfy yourself one hundred percent before considering others. A word is enough for the wise!
