Movie director and producer, JP Nwanganga has damaged his spinal cord following a ghastly motor accident…
Without mincing words, this is not the best of times for the Nigerian movie industry otherwise known as Nollywood. We have seen a couple of their members die in such unfortunate circumstances while some others are either bedridden with worsening health conditions and otherwise.
The unfortunate incident was made known by Yul Edochie via his Instagram handle as he solicits for funds to get the movie director on his feet once again. Yul lavished lovely words on the young director, describing him as one of the coolest directors amongst his colleagues in the industry.
“Dear Nollywood and fans of Nollywood, one of our directors was involved in a fatal accident. I hear his spinal cord is broken. His name is JP Nwanganga. One of the coolest directors in Nollywood. Please let us get him back to his feet by every means possible.
Yul pleaded for people to come forward and support the director now that he’s alive, not when he’s dead then everyone will start posting his pictures with “RIP”.
“Let’s not wait till he dies then we start posting pictures…Johnpaul Nwanganga is a wonderful ambassador of Ebonyi State. I will get his account details and post as well so we can support. JP is a great guy, let’s get JP back,” he added.
Recall that in recent times, the industry has lost a couple of their high profile members including the likes of Junior Pope (JP) Odonwodo who died in an unfortunate boat mishap in Anam Anambra state on April 10, 2024.
Also, within this year the industry has lost persons like Mr. John Okafor A.K.A Mr. Ibu and Amaechi Mounagor. Earlier last week, the industry was hit with yet another bad news following the death of veteran actor, Zulu Adigwe.
On the other hand, veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji recently collapsed and was rumoured to have died as well, but thank God he made it back to his feet again. And at the moment, another veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu is allegedly sick, though information on his exact health condition is still scanty at the moment.
