The worsening cases of terminal sickness and deaths in the Nigeria movie industry, otherwise known as Nollywood has continued to give their fans a lot of worry as to what is actually going on in that industry.
Currently, another member of Nollywood identified as Mr. Yusuf Olorungbebe is down with sickness, and urgently needs financial assistance for treatment.
Though might not be as popular as some other of his colleagues due to his role in the industry, but that doesn’t rule out his Nollywood membership.
A female colleague, Foluke Daramola Salako Oyato, who visited Yusuf at the hospital took to her social media platform to appeal for financial assistance on his behalf.
“I’m here again to plea on behalf of my very esteem colleague and production manager, Mr Yusuf Olorungbebe, this is state as of today presently on life support“.
“Please no amount is too small for him to live, your support will go a very long way in helping us. Thanks so much everyone,” she posted with a video of the sick Nollywood member during her visit few days ago.
While the industry has for quite some time now plagued with cases of untimely deaths, terminal sicknesses, etc, there has been steady call for the body to come up with a health insurance program for its members as it will go a long way in helping ailing members to care for their health.
This they say will at least afford them the opportunity to be treated while down with sickness, rather than waiting for public donations which might not come, or come late when things may have gotten out of hand.
Within this year, the industry has lost quite a number of its members, including late Onyeka Onwenu, Junior Pope Odonwodo and crew members who drowned alongside himself during the boat mishap in Anambra in April.
Few days ago, another actress in the person of Sharon passed away just few days after her second delivery.
