Ghanaian rapper Francis Peprah, popularly known on stage as 2pm was laid to rest in his home country on Wednesday November 29, 2023, amid weeping and tears. The venue of burial ceremony was crowded with people, who had travelled far and near to pay their last respect to the young rapper, and video footages from the ceremony showed lots of young people catching so much fun as the Djs played their favourite songs, both from 2Pm and other artists.

But on the other hand, one thing stood out during the funeral ceremony of the talented late rapper, as his corpse was dressed up with a befitting outfit, just like his regular attire, and made stand tall in the public place. This was for fans and loved ones of the the musician to pay their last respect before he was laid to rest. Video footages from the funeral ceremony captured moments people stood before the standing corpse crying and shedding tears.

Meanwhile, that singular act has continued to stir up mixed reactions, mostly as many people condemn the act, terming it as disrespectful and equally not allowing the dead to actually rest in peace. And one of those not happy with the idea is popular Nollywood actor and comedian, Bishop Imeh Umoh, though popular with the name Okon Lagos. He stated that that act was a glaring disrespect to the dead.

In his exact words, the Nollywood actor commented, “what disrespect to the dead is this?”.

Many other persons were on the same page with the movie star, with some claiming that such can only be seen in African countries, as we give too much funfair to burial ceremonies. But some others disagreed with the actor, citing that the dead is conscious of nothing, as such, nothing like disrespecting the dead here.

“There’s no disrespect to the dead cos the dead is conscious of nothing. This looks good and befitting burial,” @viktor20409 replied the actor.
