A certain Nigerian mother identified as Christy Butler Valentine recently shared her experience via social media platform, recounting what people say about her and her son.
She attended her son’s graduation ceremony, during which she experienced something else; her son’s course mates mistook her for his sister, with many of them refusing to believe that she’s the mother to their course mate.
“When some of my son’s course mates saw me, they thought I was his sister. Some of them were confused, while some didn’t believe it,” she recounted.
Then further, she added, “if you can’t believe it then forget it. In case you are wondering how? Just know that it’s the Lord’s doing and is marvelous in our eyes”.
This is actually not the first time such has happened, and that is one of the sweetest experience of having children early. Yes, it will certainly make a lot of people wonder if truly it’s your child/children, or your siblings.
I have witnessed on several occasions were a mother is mistaken as her son’s girlfriend, simply because of how young the woman was compared to her son’s age and look as well.
Well, it is advisable to have your children early in your life, so you and them will grow hand in hand, just like siblings. While you waste all your youthful age jumping from one woman or man to the other, in the end what do you stand to gain? Then you start raising kids at a time you are supposed to be retiring from that, a time you should start enjoying the fruits of your labour.
