There’s this trending story of a certain Nigerian couple who live and work in the United Kingdom, UK, but suddenly found themselves in devil’s street as they have been reportedly deported from the country, and are back to Nigeria over unresolvable family issues.

According to the story making rounds, the yet to be identified couple were actually embroiled in unresolvable family matters, of which it is said the man battered his wife who is a practicing nurse in UK. In turn, she invited the police and equally reached out to her office to remove her husband from her Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

On his part, sensing the danger as a result of the above moves by his wife, he quickly reached out to the Nursing and midwifery Council (NMC) in UK, alleging that his wife’s International English Language Testing System (IELTS) was faked, of which NMC investigated and found out that it was forged. And now, the couple are reportedly back to Nigeria.

Meanwhile, a lot of people, including Nigerian celebrities, like veteran comedian Ali Baba, actress Eucharia Anunobi, Dave Ogbeni, Susan Peters, Emeka Rollas, Walta Anga, others have actually reacted to the story.

“Saw this online, if it’s true then it’s sad. Very sad,” part of Ali Baba’s reaction to the incident reads.

“Anger is a destroyer,” @jayfidex_group remarked.

“The beating to be continued in Nigeria. Uncontrolled anger can make you destroy what was built in 20 years in one minute,” @diamond_concept_photography.uk commented.

Well, this is truly a very sad and unfortunate situation, which the couple could have managed better. Now, look at the end result, after years of planning for this, investing all the huge resources involved, but ended up in the drains. The truth remains that both of them are culpable and have no exemption whatsoever from the end result.

Yes, most of you won’t like this, but I put bulk of the blame on the man, for allegedly battering his wife. Apart from the fact that they live abroad, even here, beating a woman is highly abominable and no one condones such any longer. As such, he should have known better, and prevented this ugly outcome.

At least, if he thinks she’s no longer respectful to him, then he could have walked out of the marriage, and I do not think she would have done what she did if he had walked out of the union.

No doubt, it is now that the eyes of both of them will be clear, and their hearts filled with regrets. They must have learnt their lessons in the hard way, and should be wiser now with that experience.
