There’s a new cry of a baby in the house of legendary singers, Ashanti and Nelly, making it their baby together as a couple. And it is a baby boy and already named Kareem Kenkaide Haynes.
Funny enough, the baby is said to have been welcomed since last month, July 2024, according to CNN. But the news is just being let out at this time.
Writing on her verified Instagram page on Wednesday, Ashanti, 43, revealed how she has always hungered for motherhood: “Funny how life’s plans aren’t…always on time,” which is a line from her hit track with Ja Rule years ago, titled ‘Always On Time’.
Then she added, “I’ve been waiting to be a mom for a long time now but nothing could prepare me for EVERYTHING motherhood brings”.
Recall that the lovebirds had previously been linked together romantically, precisely about 20 years ago, and about ten years ago they split, and announced their reunion as Husband and Wife in 2023.
Meanwhile, in April this year, the couple revealed during an interview with Essence Magazine, that they are expecting a child together, and finally the baby has arrived.
While they reportedly wed in December 2023, this is their first child together, but Nelly, 49, is already a father of two kids from his former relationship. Equally, he had lost his sister in March 2005 to leukemia, and went on to adopt the kids of his sister.
