Mr. Ibu: The Burial Arrangements For The Late Veteran Nollywood Actor Has Been Released.

The family of late veteran Nollywood actor, Mr. John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu is set to bid him final farewell…

It has not really been a good year for the Nigerian movie industry, otherwise known as Nollywood, as there have been hit with high profile deaths since the beginning of the year.

And just recently, the industry was hit hard with yet another heartbreak following the death of Junior Pope and a host of others during a boat mishap in Anam, Anambra state while shooting a movie, produced by Adanma Luke Ozuligbo, whom has been suspended from producing any movie in the industry.

While still in that scenario, the burial arrangements for Mr. Ibu has been released by both the family and Nollywood, begining on June 25, 2024, as there will be a novelty football match between Nollywood and Rangers International of Enugu on that time. Which will take place at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium Enugu.

Then on June 26, there will be a candlelight procession and entertainment night in his honour. After which, on the 27th there will be a Christian wake in his home in Amurri, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state. The following day being June 28, he will be laid to rest finally and followed by a Thanksgiving Church service on June 30, 2024.

Recall that the actor died on March 2, 2024, after a protracted ailment, involving both kidney problem, diabetes and others. Of which he had successfully undergone operation to amputate one of the legs, and already discharged. Unfortunately, days later.

While he was sick and admitted at the hospital, Mr. Ibu was shown much love by a lot of people, home and abroad, including through free will donations running into several millions of Naira, prayers, hospital visitation by notable personalities in the country.
