The drama surrounding the family of ailing veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu is not far from being over, not now or any time soon. This comes as more damning revelations about what’s actually going on in that family keep surfacing, and as expected, each camp would likely come out to either debunk or react to the information given to the public against them, as such, making it a lengthy drama, which may eventually drag attention away from the ailing actor.
Recall that on Sunday November 12, 2023, Mrs. Ibu (Stellamarris Okafor) came out with lots of damning allegations against her husband’s adopted daughter, Jasmine Okafor, including the fact that she has been doing everything possible to make her (Ibu’s Wife) a total stranger in her own family. Further, she claimed that all the donations made from people for her husband’s treatment have been hijacked by Jasmine, as she’s the only person who has access to the account, amongst many other things she raised.
Well, on Monday November 13, popular social media personality and rights advocate, Very Dark Black Man, VDM in a video post berated Mr. Ibu’s wife, accusing her of being responsible for all the troubles in the family. He alleged that she’s more interested in lavishing the money being donated for her husband’s health than the recovery of the ailing Nollywood actor.
Also, how she had diverted a certain donation made for her husband’s health and treatment, which she lured the donor into making the payment into her personal account, instead of the Access Bank account that is being used for such. Which she did not disclose the donation to anyone else, only for the donor to reach out to Jasmine to inform her about his donation, as he’s a good friend of the family, that was how they got to know about it. And that till date, how the money was spent and on what has not been accounted for.
He equally revealed how she had approached Jasmine, for them to share the money donated for Mr. Ibu’s health, so she can go ahead and spend her own share on some of the things she had on her wish list. Of which some of the things she had earlier requested from the aforementioned donations include iphone-15, a brand new car, etc.
He equally revealed that some time ago, she had mount serious pressure on Ibu, urging him to sell off his big house in Lagos State, and equally demanded that she will equally receive a greater percentage of the money once the transaction is sealed. Also, how she had been maltreating the ailing actor that he had to pack out of their mansion and relocated to another State to share one room apartment with a friend of his, whose wife was equally pregnant at the time, hence why Ibu was sleeping on a chair in the parlour.
While he advised her to focus on taking care of her ailing husband, he also threatened to release evidences to all that he said on case she want to deny them. During the video session, he repeatedly forbid that he ends up with a wife like Mrs. Ibu, and equally warned other men from making the mistake of marrying that type of a woman.
Meanwhile, a certain Facebook user identified with the name “Gist With Stee” claimed in her post that she knows Ibu’s wife personally as they do attend same Church. The post equally alleged that she’s so materialistic, including that she changes cars as often as possible, and that she never repeats outfit, to show the extent she lavishes the actor’s money for her lousy lifestyle.

Also, in that video, touched briefly on the fact that the said Access bank account allegedly under the control of Jasmine, that it was Mr. Ibu who made it so, as it was because of her (Mrs. Ibu) character that warranted her husband to lock her out of that very family bank account.
Though he equally set the records straight on who is controlling the account, of which he said that it is Mr. Ibu’s son who is controlling the account as delegated to him by his father.
