Popular and controversial Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has once again waded into the aftermath of Mohbad’s death, making series of mind-blowing revelations and allegations as well. According to her, the deceased is worth about seven hundred million Naira, N700M currently, which she put to be around $690,000.

Kemi made it known that she has been doing a quiet research with regards to some of the things involving Mohbad, including his earnings while with the Marlian Records, etc. In continuation, she alleged that prior to Mohbad’s death that Naira Marley owe him a huge sum of three hundred million Naira, N300M from song royalties, digital platforms streams and songs he wrote for the Marlian Records, as she said Mohbad wrote about 97% of all the songs at Marlian music. Kemi added that the deceased, Mohbad, is among the top three songwriters in the country, others include Tiwa Savage and Teni.

She equally stated that people should stop expecting top music label bosses to speak up or against Naira Marley, simply because they all are affiliated to the same cult that controls the industry. And on the money she alleged to have been owed to Mohbad by Marlian Records, she lamented that Mohbad should have taken the matter to court long before now, but blamed people like Zlatan and Bella Shmurda for discouraging him from doing so, and equally blamed them for not being able to help out Mohbad.

Further, she blamed those seeking to find out who k!lled Mohbad instead of finding out what killed him rather, and boldly said that there’s need to conduct a DNA test on the paternity of the five months old son of the late singer. And if it has been confirmed he’s the real dad to the boy, then all his music assets and earnings should be put in a trust fund for the boy till he’s eighteen (18) years of age. He frowned at the idea of handing it over to the boy’s mom nor the late singer’s parents, who have never really been close to the singer until he became famous and successful, as she doesn’t trust any of them.

Lastly, she warned young and upcoming artistes to be careful with whom they sign music contracts with and the terms of such contracts as well. Mentioning that what happened to Mohbad when he opted to abandon his contract with Marlian Records happened to Davido sometime in 2010, but that Davido’s Billionaire father, Deji Adeleke, had to buy out the contract from the music label his son was signed to back then.
