Nigerians have continued to spread their tentacles across the globe, while at the same time bringing great honours to their fatherland.
Two Nigerians are currently representing their fatherland well in far away Asia, as they are they are the only blacks found in the Japanese men’s football team at the ongoing Olympics in Paris, France.
The first of the two is 22 year old Joel Chima Fujita, who is born to a Nigerian father from South Eastern Nigeria and a Japanese mother. Joel is a midfielder and a member of the Japan’s under 23 team (U23). He’s equally the captain of the team in Paris Olympics.
The second person is Leo Brian Kokubo, who plays as a goalkeeper for the team in the men’s team. He is also born to a Nigerian father and a Japanese mum.
Joel and Leo are both playing their professional football with Belgian Pro League side, Sint-Truiden at club level.
