Every day we wake up to some of the weirdest things to have ever existed in this life. Who could believe that an issue like menstruation could possibly crash a once beautiful family.
Well, a certain marriage somewhere in Ebonyi State Nigeria has hit the rock following a misunderstanding between the couple. It started when the woman, who is a caterer got a job at Nsukka, Enugu state, for a big wedding, as such, decides to travel a day before the wedding which took place on August 3, 2024.
This was made known to us via a close family friend, who pleaded anonymity. And according to him, his friend identified as one Mr. Richard, who is the husband of this woman wasn’t comfortable with her going outside the state for whatever reason.
Within his heart, he is not sure she is only going for the catering job, but suspects she could be going to sleep with another man under the pretext of going for the catering job.
“Honey, why are you always against me going for jobs outside, even when you are aware of our financial condition and the amount of money I charge for such jobs?” She lamented.
“I have made my mind clear to you madam, once the job involves you sleeping outside it won’t work in my house,” he insisted.
Continuing, he added, “the only time I can permit you to take up such jobs is when you are seeing your period. That’s when my mind will be at peace of you travel out for jobs”.
His reason being that she cannot cheat while on her menstrual cycle. So, that’s only the condition he can permit her to travel out for the job. Unfortunately, she finished seeing her menses few days ago.
“I see” she retorted. And was only quiet for a while, then stormed away into her room, were she stayed and cried out her eyes for over an hour.
She’s increasingly becoming fed up with the condition of things in the marriage; the husband is a security man and makes little money, he won’t still allow her to take up most of the catering jobs that she’s offered.
Mr. Richard stood his ground regardless of all the pleas from his wife and some others who are close to the family. Meanwhile, his wife has a pressing financial need; her mother requires urgent operation and she is the only person to come up with the money for the said surgical operation.
This matter got worse between the couple, that she made up her mind to go for the job, willing and ready to damn the consequences afterwards.
While away for the catering job, her husband had already called her, to earn her never to step foot into his house. Meanwhile she’s carrying a pregnancy of six months.
To cut the story short, as we speak now, she has returned to her parents how, and Mr. Richard has informed her family that he’s no longer interested in the marriage. A lot of people have actually waded into the matter but the man is not changing his mind anytime soon.
According to this friend of Mr. Richard who divulged this information to us, Richard has been painting the wife black, that she travelled to Enugu state to be with her secret lover. And all other laughable allegations from him against the wife, and doesn’t look like he’s ever gonna return to that marriage.
