England and Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire has reacted to him being left out of Gareth Southgate’s list for this summer’s edition of the European Football Championship.
He lamented the fact that he was left out of the Squad, “I am devastated not to have been selected to play for England at the Euros this summer”.
Going further, he revealed how he has not been able to overcome a calf injury to enable him be part of the England Squad for this summer’s euro, “despite my best efforts, I have not been able to overcome an injury to my calf. Maybe I pushed myself too hard, to try and make it. Simply, I am absolutely gutted”.
He stated that representing his country remains his highest honour in life, as it actually meant everything to him. He also made it clear that since he can’t be part of the squad, he will resort to being a fan and supporting them.
