Former Spurs hitman and England captain, Harry Kane is definitely living his dreams in the German topflight league, Bundesliga, since his arrival in August 2023. Kane scored his first hat-trick for his new club, Bayern Munich as they extended their unbeaten run in the new season.
Reacting quickly, he smashed home his first goal in the 12th minute, following a loose ball in the eighteen yard box, then a penalty in the 54th minute before making it three in the 88th minute. He equally assisted two goals for Leroy Sane and teenager Mathys Tel in the 38th and 81st minutes respectively, in the same game played on Saturday, September 23.
While their Saturday’s opponent, VFL Bochum, are still in search of their first win for the new season, Harry Kane has helped Bayern Munich maintain unbeaten start to the season after five games, scoring seven (7) goals in five matches, which Bayern has won four and drawn just one. The Bundesliga Champions sit top of the league table with thirteen (13) points.
Kane however, has not scored a domestic hat-trick since December 2017, which is why Saturday’s hat-trick was so special for him. But that doesn’t mean he has been out of goals all these while, no, he has been banging in goals and equally delivering breathe taking assists. Last Wednesday, his goal helped Bayern to emerge 4-3 victorious against English Premier League side, Manchester United.
Without mincing words, Kane is a prolific goal scorer, or rather, a goal machine, and he has maintained that level for many years since he broke into the elite football status. And just like the local parlance in Nigeria, “soldier go soldier come, Barracks remain,” in other words, he has continued to prove his worth from where he stopped at Tottenham Hotspur, as such, change of environment is not a barrier to his goal scoring prowess. And with the way it is going, he’s likely to win the golden boot at the end of the season.
