The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, AGN, in partnership with Rivers State government has finally waded into the lingering matter surrounding the death of Precious Ofurum.

This was made known my veteran Nollywood actor and movie director Mike Ogundu Odogwu A.K.A Nwoke the unknown soldier of Issakaba. He revealed that the body of Precious Ofurum will arrive Rivers State tomorrow, Tuesday April 30, 2024, for his proper burial.

“Thanks to God Almighty. Tomorrow you’re coming home. I join all Nollywood film makers to say welcome home son. We love you!!!! DGN mourn you, Rivers State mourn you. Even in death , you’re still loved,” he captioned the post made on his official Facebook page earlier today.

Recall he died alongside Junior Pope and others in the April 10, 2024, boat mishap in Anam Anambra state, which claimed lives of several Nollywood members. The case of Precious the Soundman has lingered for quite some time now, basically for lack of funds.

Meanwhile, after a certain man, Jeremiah Omotofufeyin donated about 10 million Naira to the deceased family and other donations, it was alleged that the family of the boy made a U-turn, that they are no longer going to exhume his corpse based on their tradition.

That led to the family being dragged a lot on social media platforms, especially after Nollywood producer, Stanley Ontop equally confirmed the story, including making public the chat and voice notes of his discussion with the family of the deceased.
