A US based Nigerian man identified simply by his Facebook user name as “The Loaded Man” has just made a startling revelation about the condition that confronts most people who recently relocated to US, precisely New York City, which is were he is based.
Revealing that the cost of paying for a hotel room is too expensive, especially for those who just migrated to the country, hence, they resort to some other kind of accomodation. He admitted being faced with same situation when he first migrated to the country.
The accomodation is just a small pod like box which is fitted with an extractor fan inside. Those who sort to hire such spaces are charged eighty dollars ($80) for a period of eight hours (8hrs).
Meanwhile, while your check in time is around 11pm, your time expires by 7am the following morning, and you leave with your bed sheet, paving way for another person to make use of it as well.

Funny enough, many Nigerians who have reacted to the story revealed that they would be more than happy to live in such a space as long as they are out of Nigeria, especially in a country like America.
On the other hand, without mincing words, many people from Nigeria who travelled abroad have had worse experience than this, and equally unwilling to travel back to the country as a result.
That alone tells you the condition of things here, which is the reason why people are more than willing and ready to be subjected to even worse living condition outside the country. Not just in Europe, but even in certain African countries as well.
