World leaders and others have continued to react to the assassination attempt on former US President, Donald Trump last in Pennsylvania during his campaign.
A 20 year old sniper on roof top had fired shots at Trump which only brushed through his ears before the gun wielding man was brought down by the American Secret Service.
FBI later identified the sniper as one Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
Since then we have seen barrage of condemnations from prominent figures across the globe, including former US President Barack Obama who made it clear that there’s absolutely no place for political violence in America’s Democracy.
Admitting though that what happened to Trump isn’t exactly known to him, but admitted that he was happy nothing too serious happened to Trump. Further urged people to use this moment to imbibe civility and respect in their politics.
In a quick reaction to the post, Elon Musk expressed happiness that Obama had quickly condemned such an undemocratic act whereas the incumbent President and Trump’s rival, Joe Biden was yet to condemn the act.
“At least you spoke before Biden,” Elon Musk wrote.
In another video, an eye witness has told BBC that he had actually informed police and the secret service of a suspicious man on the roof top with a rifle prior to the ugly incident.
In reaction to the above, Musk said, “the Head of the secret service and the leader of this security detail should resign”.
Meanwhile, Musk has continued to comment since the attack last night, including fully endorsing Trump’s Presidency, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery”.
In another post he wrote, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt”.
