Brazilian wonderkid Endrick Felipe Moreira De Sousa but popularly known as just “Endrick” has continued to make waves across the football world.

First, it was his debut game for Real Madrid in Laliga few weeks ago that was in the news as he came on barely ten minutes to the end of the game and still scored a wonderful goal on same debut.

Fast forward to weeks later, precisely on Wednesday September 18, 2024, the lad came on in the closing minutes of Real Madrid’s Champions League opening game for the season against Stuttgart of Germany and found the back of the net once again. It was equally his debut Champions League game for his new club.

But the talking point is not actually the wonderful goal he scored, but the reactions of some of his Real Madrid teammates after he scored the goal, especially from Kylian Mbappe.

The countenance on Mbappe’s face after he scored the goal showed that he isn’t happy with the young boy, especially after Endrick refused to pass the ball to him and some others like Vinicius Jnr.

But whatever be the case it is expected that this doesn’t amount to something terrible in the team. The aim of the team is to win goals and win matches, and who ever scored the goal for the team shouldn’t matter, but the success of the team should be the ultimate target for all the players, and not individual ambition or desires.

And also, it should be understood that forwards are naturally selfish with the ball, especially whenever they are in a scoring position. Equally, most beautiful goals scored by players are just as a result of the risk taken by those players, of which Endrick’s goal fell into that category.
