Daniel Regha has over time become synonymous with controversial tweets, of which many of such posts have either gained him friend or foe. Funny enough, none of these factors or outcome has been able to deter Daniel from making more controversial posts subsequently.
Well, the young man has left yet another of his trademark posts on his popular Twitter page, of which he targeted at those who indulge into internet fraud, popularly known as Yahoo-Yahoo. Meanwhile, the post in question immediately attracted the attention of the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Delta State command, DSP Bright Edafe.
In the said post, Daniel Regha lamented the damages yahoo yahoo has done to many lives and equally the damages it has caused the country on the global stage. As such, he has urged people to start reporting yahoo boys to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFFC, as he made it clear that Yahoo Yahoo must stop in this country at all cost, as it has continued to ruin lives and damage the image of the country as well.
He is of the opinion that Yahoo boys are not invisible, as such, people know most of their hideouts and hangout zones, which includes hotels, clubs, etc. As such, that they should start pointing out to EFCC those places were Yahoo boys stay or hangout, as a way of assisting EFCC in clamping down on internet fraudsters which has become a menace in the country.
“Yahoo boys are well known to visit hotels & clubs; mention that popular hotel or club in your area where they’re often seen, to help EFCC & notify the public,” part of the post reads. He stated that naming these places where yahoo boys visit is not in anyway an of discrediting those businesses, establishments, etc, but a patriotic act aimed at helping in the fight against internet fraud in the country.
Meanwhile, DSP Bright Edafe in a quick reaction threw his support behind the opinion of Daniel Regha, further adding that Yahoo Yahoo goes hand in hand with social vices like Money rituals, cultism, drug abuse. In his exact words, he wrote, “it has to stop, knowing that it goes side by side with drug abuse, cultism, and money making rituals. I stan with you on this”.
The post sparked mixed reactions among many people who reacted to it; with some giving support to Daniel Regha and others disagreeing with on for different reasons. On the other hand, some urged him as well, to rather be careful with the way he delves into certain sensitive issues in the society for the sake of his life. That he should stop exposing himself to unnecessary danger and enmity with his incessant controversial posts.
