Deadline Day: There’s a Bad News For Osimhen, As Sterling Joins Arsenal And Other Transfer News!

As the European transfer window shits down this night, August 30, 2024, we have witnessed as usual, the traditional panic buying and all the rush-rush that always trails the deadline day.

While we have laid hands on a couple of important transfer stories, it is not looking good for Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen as no deal yet for him.

Victor Osimhen:

This is not the best of time for the current CAF African footballer of the year, Osimhen as the Chelsea deal is completely off as it finalized to materialize before the deadline day elapsed.

His representatives and that of Napoli met with their counterparts from Chelsea in Napoli, to finalize the deal. Unfortunately, it couldn’t pull through and all parties have retired, with Chelsea reps already leaving Napoli to return to England.

While his relationship with Napoli has completely fallen apart, it will be a very difficult season for him should no deal happens after all.

There’s still hope though, from Saudi club, and the deal must be completed in the next three days, else it will be all over for Osimhen.

While he will remain in the club if no deal happens, but he won’t be in the first team headed by Antonio Conte.

Raheem Sterling:

Arsenal has completed one of the most shocking transfers, with the signing of Chelsea’s outcast player, Raheem Sterling on a season long loan, with no option to buy.

According to Fabrizio, agreement between the two clubs have been finalized. While Chelsea has finally accepted Arsenal’s offers, there’s no doubt as to whether Sterling had eagerly wanted the deal.

Ivan Toney:

Saudi Pro league outfit, Al Ahli, has finally completed the signing of Ivan Toney from Brentford.

The deal has been completed in a £40m package. Meanwhile, medicals has been concluded, contract signed and sealed.

He will be traveling to his new club this weekend for his immediate presentation to the club fans.

Sebastian Haller:

The Ivorian forward has completed a loan move from Borussia Dortmund to Laliga side, Leganes.

The loan deal runs until June 2025.

Reiss Nelson:

The Arsenal forward has finally joined Fulham after Ipswich Town deal couldn’t pull through.

Eddie Nketiah:

The young French striker has finally left the London outfit after Several years. He has joined Crystal Palace on a deal worth about £25m plus £5m add-ons, deal confirmed.

Though a lot of Arsenal fans are not really happy with his departure, while the club is relying on Kai Havertz to lead the attacking line.

Meanwhile, with the departure of Emile Smith Rowe, Aaron Ramsdale and Eddie Nketiah this summer, Arsenal has racked in about £89million from their sales.

Wilfred Zaha:

Joins Olympic Lyon of France from Galatasaray of Turkey. Deal has been signed, sealed and delivered. Next time you see him, Zaha, he will be wearing the badge of Olympic Lyon, OL.
