It has really been a rough, tough and disheartening experience since the news of the death of talented and fast rising rapper, singer and songwriter, Mohbad or Imole, whose real name is Promise Oladimeji Aloba.
The news broke out on Tuesday, September 13, 2023. Unfortunately, the actual cause of his death has remained elusive till this moment.
Confirming the death of the music Star, a post which was made via his verified Instagram page reads, “it is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Promise Oladimeji Aloba, PK/A Mohbad (Imole) today, the 12th if September, 2023”
On the other hand, another popular singer, Bella Shmurda via an old video, revealed that the deceased has been battling depression, especially since he had issues with his then Record Label, Marlian Music, which is owned by Naira Marley. So, it has equally left many confused on the more, on what exactly could have been the reason behind the sudden death of the “Ronaldo” crooner.
Meanwhile, lots of his colleagues in the entertainment industry has continued to express sadness and heartbreak over the unfortunate incident. And one of them and popular internet skit maker, OGB Recent, raised a very sensitive and vital issue, when he revealed that Mohbad has just a four months old son behind, while equally urging everyone to channel their grief towards helping and supporting the family he left behind.
In his exact words, “Let’s pray for Mohbad only son, 4 months old. How can we support Mohbad’s family, let’s pay/assist. That’s the best respect we can give Mohbad, thanks”.
Davido who was obviously short of words could only manage an emoji of a broken heart, as he too was equally broken and shattered over the news.
