Popular and controversial social media activist, Very Dark BlackMan, VDM, and Cubana Chiefpriest have come hard on former Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach, Finidi George.

While it’s been a chaotic short spell at the helm of affairs as Super Eagles team manager for Finidi George, he has equally continued to get lots of trolls and criticism from Nigerians, even after he has resigned the job.

Recall that in the past few days, Finidi has been engulfed in a rift with Victor Osimhen over the former’s alleged utterances about Osimhen, in which he was allegedly said that he won’t beg Osimhen to play for the country. In turn, Osimhen attacked him as well, using several nasty words on him, Finidi.

The war of words has sparked yet another massive reactions amongst Nigerians on social media, of which many have tasked Osimhen to tender an apology to Finidi. Well, Very Dark BlackMan and Chiefpriest are not in support of that idea.

According to VDM, the former Eagles head coach was the architect of his own problem, as he was the first to pull a sword against Osimhen, as such, if he wants any apology from Osimhen, then he has to apologize to the Napoli striker first. Only at that will Osimhen apologize on his own part too.

Reacting to the video post made by VDM, then Chiefpriest painted a picture indicating that Finidi is only looking to drag others to go down with him.

In his exact words, Chiefpriest wrote, “Coach dey fall dey find whom he go drag fall down. Na only Osimhen be striker we dey for the whole country?”

Some other sources have actually exonerated Finidi, saying he never mentioned any particular player during his discussion with his employers. That he only said he’s not going to beg any player to play for the country.

Meanwhile, many people felt he was indirectly referring to Osimhen, who they said Finidi is accusing of faking his injury, hence why he was not part of the team that played 1-1 draw with South Africa in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State, and lost 2-1 few days after, to Benin Republic.

Since then, Finidi George has been subjected to series of heartbreaking backlashes and attacks from different quarters.

Though he revealed that his resignation has nothing to do with either the rift, the poor run of results or the backlashes from Nigerians. But his decision was as a result of the plan by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to hire a foreign coach.
