Legendary musician, songwriter and record producer, Celine Dion is not happy with former US President, Mr. Donald Trump following his recent action.
Donald Trump during one of his rallies in Montana on Friday August 9, 2024, had crossed his bounds by infringing on Celine Dion’s copyright by using her song “My Heart Will Go On” during his rally.
She is not happy that Trump was not granted any sort of permission over the usage of the evergreen song for his political ambition. She was equally unaware that it was even that very track the former US President used.
In a post made via her verified Facebook page few days ago, she wrote, “today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump/JD Vance campaign rally in Montana“.
Then added, “in no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use…And really, THAT song?“
While Trump’s camp along his running mate, JD Vance are yet to respond to the statement from Celine Dion, on the other hand, it is not clear if she’s going to press charges against Trump and his camp.
Be that as it may, we will keep a close eye on the matter and equally keep you updated.
