Billionaire Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola has found himself in the bad books of Nigerians following his recent comment on X.
He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making it possible for the NNPC to start lifting petroleum products from Dangote refinery.
This coming after weeks of back and forth drama between NNPC and Dangote Refinery, which led to Dangote accusing NNPC of trying to sabotage efforts of his refinery by refusing to supply the refinery crude oil.
“Kudos to president Tinubu for making this a reality. Fuel queues are now a thing of the past as Dangote Refinery starts loading PMS today Sunday 15 September 2024,” he wrote via his verified X account.
Following this comment from Femi Otedola, many Nigerians have continued to tackle him, especially on the ground that he’s praising president Tinubu when the price of fuel is still at the roof top, beyond the purchasing powers of the people.
“Before they count people that wish bad for Nigerians you must be among the first 10. Too bad to be thanking a government that made fuel 1,200 and more. What exactly do rich gain from poor suffering Nigerians? Too bad. I feel bad here,” X user DJ Spoilt Kid @spoiltkid.
