Legendary Bayern Munich goal keeper, Manuel Neuer has set a new impressive champions league record, as the goalie with most number of clean sheets in the European Champions League.
He has not conceded a goal for 58 games in the Champions League since his debut, placing him as the number one goalkeeper with the highest clean sheets in the tournament’s history. He was joint at 57 with Iker Casillas until last night when Bayern knocked Arsenal FC out of the champions league following a 1-0 defeat at the Allianz Arena.
He’s closely followed by Real Madrid legendary goalkeeper, Iker Casillas with 57 Champions League clean sheets, and the third on the list is the legendary Juventus and Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon with 52 clean sheets in the tournament.

Manuel Neuer who is still the only one in active play among the three has won a couple of awards in the course of his career, including International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) award of the best goalkeeper of the decade between 2011-2020.
He has equally won a record European best goalkeeper for five times, best FIFA goalkeeper in 2020. He has the highest number of clean sheets in the German Bundesliga with 224 clean sheets, has the highest number of clean sheets in a single season in Bundesliga with a total of 21 clean sheets in the 2015-2016 season.
