It is so sad and heartbreaking seeing what many of the youths have become, basically as a result of life’s condition and frustration, because it is often rare to find someone whose life is well taken care of, but prefers to rather adopt a dirty and disgusting lifestyle.
In a video clip shared on TikTok, this 20 year old young girl admitted to being a consumer of the popularized hard drug known as Ice or Crystal meth (Crystal Methamphetamine), but popularly known in the streets as Mkpulu Mmiri.
She was rescued by a local security outfit in Ifite Awka, in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra state, while a street drug dealer identified as Street was trying to rape the young girl at the uncompleted building were she lives.
According to the security commander identified as Aguiyi Kajia, while they were on night patrol, they heard someone shouting for help from the uncompleted building were she lives.
They got there immediately and rescued her but couldn’t lay hands on the said Street who was trying to rape her. She was equally inflicted with physical wounds as the boy had to beat her while trying to force her to have sex with him in the uncompleted building were she lives.
During on the spot interrogations, she gave details about the said Street of a guy, including that he deals on hard drugs like Indian hemp (locally known as Igbo), crystal methamphetamine (Mkpulu Mmiri), and others.
On her part, she admitted to taking the same Mkpulu Mmiri, prompting the commander of the vigilante to put it on her that the said Street of a guy is equally a part of her group of street urchins. Though assured her of her safety and promising to arrest Street the following day.
But warned her to vacate the uncompleted building, as it is a known hideout for all sorts of criminals who specializes in vandalizing transformers, people’s shops, and all others of its kind. She was freed because according to them, they have not warned her before to vacate the place.
Many people who have commented on the video post were actually pleased with the job of the security group, but suggested fir them to help in the rehabilitation of the young girl.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actor and movie producer, Stanley Ontop who equally posted the video on his Instagram page has pledged to assist the young girl through rehabilitation. He made it clear that whatever fee that comes with her rehabilitation, that he will take care of it alone.
Frankly, our Government need to really step up in confronting the worsening menace of drug abuse in the country, especially among young people. You can imagine such a small girl of 20 years old, just look at the kind of life she’s already living! God!
