The lingering crisis rocking the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, seems to have assumed a dimension in recent days, with many people calling for the total overhaul of the leadership of the body.
Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mele Kyari has increasingly come under scrutiny following the allegations of corruption, and other malpractices plaguing the body. Meanwhile, Daniel Bwala has joined many voices calling for the sack of Mele Kyari as the Boss of NNPCL.
Quoting words from Albert Einstein, he made it clear that you cannot effect positive changes with the same minds that created the problem in question.
According to Daniel Bwala, “a new leadership direction for NNPCL is long overdue. Albert Einstein said, You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it”.
Recall that Kyari appeared before the Senate Ad-hoc committee to defend himself and NNPCL as well, over the alleged economic sabotage in the oil industry. He denied any of such, lamenting the attacks he has received in recent times by those desperately fighting to paint him and the body he represents black.
Africa’s wealthiest person, Alhaji Aliko Dangote recently accused NNPCL of sabotaging the country’s economy due to their personal and selfish interest. This includes the allegations that some staff of NNPCL have blending plants in Malta.
