Ailing Canadian singer Celine Dion was a complete delight for fans as she appeared in Paris France ahead of her performance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Friday July 26, 2024.
Excited fans trailed her as they waited at the entrance of the super star, as they welcomed her to Paris ahead of her much anticipated performance at the ongoing Olympics in Paris France.
Her performance later on Friday night was the first time she has performed in a concert after she revealed about her health condition. Her last public live performance was since July of 2019, in London, England.
Recall that the 56 year old had disclosed that she’s living with “stuff person syndrome”, which is a rare, progressive ailment which affects basically the nervous system, mostly the brain and spinal cord.

Celine Dion has refused to be sidelined by her health condition as she has continued to fight like a lion to overcome the predicament. She had made a couple of public appearance but not a live performance, as she was on stage during the last edition of the Grammys to present the last award to the winner.
And on Friday night, she was at it again, giving an electrifying performance as she closed the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics in France. She performed the ageless classic “Edith Piaf’s “L’Hymne à l’amour,” just immediately after the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.
